Rick always loved drawing as a child and then later began painting at age 9. His earliest work was submitted to an exhibit of elementary school artists at West Virginia University. After a long hiatus, Rick began taking classes with Ed Stitt at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1997. He continued with David Addison Small at the Massachusetts College of Art.
Currently he is continuing to hone his skills at the Cape School of Art, where he feels excited and has a sense of renewal with every plein air experience- especially in this beautiful corner of the earth called The Cape!
