Provincetown Harbor by Cathy Shearer-Neily
Catherine Shearer-Neily has always been inspired by color and light.. Her landscape paintings in oil and water color express her personal observation of nature.
In 2010 Catherine became intrigued by the traditional “Provincetown Print” also known as the White Line Woodcut which she uses to create iconic scenes of Provincetown.
Shearer-Neily has studied privately since 1984 and recently at the Cape School of Art .
Catherine is also accomplished in traditional Chinese brush painting which she continues to study.
She feels that these several techniques combine to create in her work a unique and inspiring vision.
